چکیده

Interference-fit joints are typically adopted to produce permanent assemblies among mechanical parts. The resulting contact pressure is generally used for element fixing or allow load transmission. Nevertheless, some special designs take advantage of the induce desiderata deformation mitigate stress field inside structure. Biased interference fitting between a planar mirror and an external ring could be required curvature realize new adaptive lens optical aberration correction. Recently, thermally-actuated deformable on this principle based, was proposed prototyped. Although feasibility utility such innovative demonstrated, no comprehensive theory developed describe behavior predict their curvature. Nowadays, use approximated numerical approach, as finite method, only way study interaction biased fitted bodies. paper aims give theoretical background correct design actuated by fitting. A formulation prediction compared with analysis available experimental measurements.

Adaptive Optics Spectroscopy: Preliminary Theoretical Results

Diffraction-limited spectroscopy with adaptive optics (AO) has several advantages over traditional seeing-limited spectroscopy. First, high resolution can be achieved without a large loss of light at the entrance slit of the spectrograph. Second, the small AO image width allows the cross-dispersed orders to be spaced closer together on the detector, allowing a large wavelength coverage. Third, ...

Frequency-based Design of Adaptive Optics Systems

The problem of reducing the effects of wavefront distortion and structural vibrations in ground-based telescopes is addressed within a modal-control framework. The proposed approach aims at optimizing the parameters of a given modal stabilizing controller with respect to a performance criterion which reflects the residual phase variance and is defined on a sampled frequency domain. This framewo...

Prediction of RO Membrane Performances by Use of Adaptive Network-Based Fuzzy Interference Systems

This study aims to develop an Adaptive Network-based Fuzzy Inference System technique (ANFIS) and using the parameters of a complex mathematical model in the RO membrane performances. The ANFIS was constructed by using a subtractive clustering method to generate initial fuzzy inference systems. The model trained by 70% of the data set and then its validity is examined by remained 30% data set. ...

Parametric Studies of Adaptive Optics by Self-Interference Incoherent Digital Holography

Adaptive optics (AO) in astronomical imaging is a technique to improve the quality of image by compensating aberrations induced by atmospheric turbulence. Digital holographic AO (DHAO) is one attractive option to implement AO scheme because it is capable of directly measuring the phase profile of aberration without complicated calculation or loss of resolution of CCD. Hence, if applicable, DHAO...

Adaptive subarray design for interference cancellation

A method for designing near-optimal, tapered subarrays for adaptive interference cancellation is proposed. The limited aperture or limited element feature of these subarrays enables a low-complexity hardware implementation of a partially adaptive array. This approach optimizes canceller performance for a given number of beams and a given number of elements per beams.
